Creative Acting Theatre School Summer Camp Welcome to the Creative Acting Theater School (C.A.T.S.) Family. Our C.A.T.S. Counselor In Training Program (CIT) is geared for young people, at least 15 years of age but are not yet 18 years of age and are interested in becoming a camp counselor. CIT's learn more about being a camp counselor by assisting staff and campers (age 7-14) as they prepare and work on camp related activities each week. The responsibilities of a CIT are limited and, yet it is a big job. A CIT's major role at camp is to be actively involved in all camp activities, working with staff and acting as an Enthusiastic, Responsible Role Model for campers. Being a CIT can be very rewarding position, and when we all do our part the "C.A.T.S. Team" works better than you can ever imagine, and everyone has a great summer.
Summer Day Camps offered by C.A.T.S. during the 2009 season are: Camp Broadway Bound – a week-long drama camp where campers will work on a production of “Beauty and the Beast ”Movie Camps – week-long, half-day and full-day camps where campers learn about various acting styles and have the chance to star in their own movie; Drama Camp Sampler – a week-long, half-day camp where campers work building acting skills through skits, improv, jokes and theatre games; CSI Camp – a week-long, half-day camp where campers learn to collect evidence, gather clues and solve crimes; Wizardry & Literacy Camp – a week-long day (half-day in some locations) camp where students are immersed in one of J.K. Rowling's Harry Potter Books for one week; Dance Sampler Camps - a week-long, half-day camp where campers get to sample various dance disciplines; Musical Theatre Camp - week-long, half-day and full day camps where students work on singing and dancing skills; Commercial and Film Bootcamp - a week-long, half-day camp where campers study acting for commercials and film.

Our system of evaluations is often informal and an ongoing daily process. At your request we will be happy to provide you with a performance review at the end of the camp session.
